The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain, ensuring the seamless movement of goods, and maintaining efficient inventory systems. This role requires strong leadership skills, proficiency in supply chain management, and expertise in transportation management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain stock levels to ensure optimal inventory.
- Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy in stock records.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to prevent overstocking or understocking.
- Supply Chain Operations:
- Plan, implement, and oversee end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Develop strategies to optimize the supply chain for cost efficiency and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to streamline processes.
- Transportation Management:
- Plan and coordinate transportation routes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Negotiate with transportation providers to secure cost-effective rates.
- Monitor fleet operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise and guide the logistics team to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop team capabilities through training and performance management.
- Address and resolve issues related to logistics and transportation.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present reports on logistics performance metrics.
- Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities.
Required Skills:
